ASites

Terms and conditions

Plain English, on purpose. These are the terms you agree to when you approve a final design in your portal. Last updated 11 October 2026.

1. Who this agreement is between

These terms are between ASites [business name and address] ("we", "us") and the person or business who creates an account in our portal and approves a website design ("you"). By ticking the box and pressing Approve, you agree to these terms.

2. What we provide

We design, build and launch a website based on the plan you complete in our portal and the final design you approve. The website includes a content editor so you can change your own text, images and the data produced by the tools you chose, such as news posts, menu items and bookings.

3. Your plan and content

You are responsible for the accuracy of your plan and for supplying your content, including text, images, video and logos. You confirm that you own or have permission to use everything you upload, and that it does not break any law or infringe anyone's rights. We may decline to use content we believe is unlawful or infringing.

4. Design rounds

We will share design mockups in your portal. You can comment on them and ask for changes, and we will share revised rounds until you are happy. There is no fixed limit on rounds. If a change goes beyond the plan you submitted, such as adding pages or tools, we will update the estimate before doing the work.

5. Price and estimates

The portal shows a running estimate as you build your plan. It is an estimate only. The firm price is the figure shown with the final design you approve. Prices are in pounds sterling and [include / exclude] VAT.

6. Payment

Payment is taken through Stripe. Unless the final design says otherwise, you pay a 50 percent deposit when you approve the final design and the remaining 50 percent when you approve the preview of your finished website. Your website goes live once the balance is paid. Stripe sends you a receipt for each payment.

7. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel at any time before you approve a final design, and nothing is owed. If you cancel after approving and paying the deposit but before we start building, we will refund the deposit less any work already done on the design rounds, charged at [hourly rate]. Once building has started the deposit is non-refundable. If you cancel after the preview is ready, the balance remains payable for the work completed, and we will hand over what has been built.

8. Timescales

We will give you an expected timescale with the final design. It depends on you responding to questions, comments and previews within a reasonable time. Delays in supplying content or feedback extend the timescale by the same amount.

9. Approval and launch

When the website is ready, we will share a preview link in your portal. You can request reasonable tweaks that stay within the approved design and plan. When you approve the preview and pay the balance, we will put the website live on your domain.

10. Ownership

Once you have paid in full, you own your content and the right to use the finished website for your business for as long as you like. We keep ownership of the underlying template, code and tools we use to build websites, and we may reuse them for other clients. We may show your finished website in our portfolio unless you ask us not to.

11. Hosting and care

Your website is hosted on infrastructure we manage [under our account / under an account we set up for you]. If you take our care plan, we keep the site hosted, backed up and updated and make small content changes for a monthly fee, payable in advance, which either side can end with one month's notice. Without a care plan, hosting after the first [12] months is your responsibility, and we will help you transfer the site to your own account at a reasonable charge.

12. Changes after launch

Changes you can make in your content editor are free. Changes to the design, layout or structure, and new pages or tools, are new work. We will quote for them through the portal.

13. Your account

You must keep your portal and website login details safe and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used them. You are responsible for what is done under your account.

14. Third-party services

Your website may use services provided by others, such as Stripe, Google, YouTube, booking or email providers. Those services have their own terms, and we are not responsible for their availability or changes to them.

15. Our responsibility

We will do the work with reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for losses that we could not reasonably have expected when you approved the design, for loss of profit or business, or for problems caused by your content, your changes, or third-party services. Our total liability under this agreement is limited to the amount you have paid us for the website. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited by law.

16. Data protection

We process your contact details and the content you upload to provide the service. If you ask us to delete your account we will remove your data from the portal within 30 days, except what we must keep for tax and legal reasons.

17. General

These terms are the whole agreement between us about this work. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. We may update these terms for future work; the version you agreed to applies to your project.
